Welcome to Mr. DeVore's Social Studies webpage. This is my sixteenth year teaching at Mingus Union High School. Along with my teaching responsibilities I have coached football, basketball, baseball and track and field. Along with my teaching responsibilities I am the Athletic Director where I enjoy challenging coaches and students in the realm of athletics. 

Teaching is a second career for me. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Criminal Justice. I was a law enforcement officer for three and a half years. I went back to school to get a post-baccalaureate in secondary education. I completed my coursework at Arizona State University and in 2004 was hired by Mingus Union High School. I am married and have two children, one who graduated from Mingus in 2015 and a daughter who graduated in 2018.  I have been married for 25 years to my great supportive wife Jennifer. 

I enjoy teaching and challenging students at Mingus Union High School and look forward to another great year.
